Our History The Barclay Group was founded in 1945 by Walter S. Barclay and has been serving the insurance needs of New Jersey Residents, Businesses, School Boards, Municipalities, Utility Authorities, and Emergency Squads continuously since that time. John S. Latimer joined the agency in 1964 and became President in 1965 and was succeeded by John A. Latimer, Esq. Over the last decade or so, the agency’s name was changed to The Barclay Group to reflect the additions of the Durgin Agency (Palmyra), Stevenson Agency (Beverly), Thomas Agency (Cherry Hill), Falcone Agency (Deptford), Insurance Outlet (Turnersville), Conrad Agency (Audubon), Wooden Agency (Riverside), Hess Associates (Cherry Hill), Silenzio Agency (Maple Shade), Harrington Agency (Sewell), Adams Agency (Audubon) and American Insurance Agency (Pennsauken).
